[00:00:00] Is yoga calling you deeper? Is there something more that your soul wants to connect with? You don't need to be able to do a handstand. You don't have to wear cute matching sets. You don't have to have it all together. This is truly for anybody. It's for you. If you feel called to deepen your relationship with yoga and you want to commit to your own personal practice, if you want to learn how to share your love of yoga with others, maybe if you feel that call for personal evolution, but need a teacher, need a path, and need a community to support you. If this is calling, you know that Enrollment opens tomorrow.
[00:00:50] Welcome to Deep in youn Yoga Practice. I'm Lauren Leduc, the owner, founder and lead teacher trainer at True Love Yoga in Kansas City, Missouri and this episode is for anyone feeling an inner calling to do a 200 hour yoga teacher training, maybe even in the year 2026. So welcome. I'm so glad you're here. When I first signed up for yoga teacher training, which I tell the story about that in a previous episode, I wasn't really sure what the outcome would be. I did have a feeling that I wanted to teach yoga, but I had no idea what really what that would look like. Mostly I just had this deep inner knowing that it would provide a path of transformation for me that I deeply felt I needed at the time. And that did prove to be really fruitful. It absolutely changed the entire course of my life. It helped me learn so much more about myself, go into depth about what yoga even is, refine my practice, and gave me the tools for a lifelong practice as well.
[00:01:52] And additionally, obviously it also provided me with a new career path. But it did all start with this quiet, subtle pull, this little voice inside me that I heard for years and years but pushed down and ignored because I didn't trust or value myself enough to take the leap. But I'm glad I did wait because I think everything happens in the time that it's supposed to, in the place it's supposed to, of course. But it did take the this deep inner fire and feeling of boldness and honestly a tiredness of my own BS in order for me to take the leap. And I want you to notice if you have felt that same subtle pull. Is yoga calling you deeper? Is there something more that your soul wants to connect with and know that it is completely normal to hesitate around this? I did for many years. This episode is for you. If you're curious, maybe you're certain. But for many of us we just have this curiosity about it and know that this is especially for you for the YTT curious. I spoke about my journey a bit and I truly believe and have seen over and over again now, because I've led eight years of yoga teacher training, that it is this deep personal transformation journey. It's not about becoming a yoga teacher. In a way it is, of course you're going to learn all of the skills that you need to teach great yoga classes. But it's also learning how to hold yourself through discomfort and through challenge.
[00:03:23] It's about gaining self awareness and emotional intelligence and confidence.
[00:03:29] It's about creating lifelong friendships and finding your unique voice and feeling of purpose. And it's about deepening your own practice through anatomy, through philosophy, by contextualizing what we do in the studio, not only in your own life, but in history. I've now had around 200 students go through my training, my 200 hour training, and I've seen 200 different journeys. Some weren't sure if they're going to teach when they're done and then they develop these beautiful teaching careers. Some maybe want to teach, but instead find this deep personal transformation in relationship to the practice instead and want to keep it to themselves. There are so many unique journeys and each one has been worthwhile and amazing to witness. So we know how YTT might be transformative for people, but who is it exactly? For really important to say up front, you don't need to be able to do a handstand, you don't have to wear cute matching sets, you don't have to have it all together.
[00:04:35] This is truly for anybody. Even if you feel like a hot mess, this is especially for you. It's for you if you feel called to deepen your relationship with yoga and you want to commit to your own personal practice. If you want to learn how to share your love of yoga with others, maybe it's already had this beautiful role of transformation in your life and you're ready to share that. Maybe if you're craving some structure and growth and a deeper sense of meaning in 2026, and maybe if you feel that call for personal evolution.
[00:05:07] But need a teacher, need a path and need a community to support you. So essentially it's for anybody who is ready for it and willing to take on the work honestly and earnestly. There are so many wonderful things that you'll learn in the program and there's a lot of deep work included. One is through asana. So you'll learn how to move in your own body and then also teach A multitude of different types of bodies. With confidence, you'll understand your own personal anatomy better understanding how your body works and how that relates to yoga teaching and safety and longevity of your practice. You'll dive into yogic philosophy and gain some clarity on life's big questions. Get to know yourself a lot more deeply, learn about others journeys and paths, and normalize a lot of the feelings that will come up through the training and really find this strong ethical anchor not only for yoga and for yoga teaching, but for your life in general. You'll also learn how to sequence and you'll get to practice teach really from day one. You'll build your voice and your skills and you'll do it in an environment with the most kind, unjudgmental, open people who are all going through the same journey as you.
[00:06:25] So it is such a beautiful container to be able to try and fail and eventually gain skills and refine your voice. You'll also receive, of course, this community I've spoken of who are always these unique, incredible groups that are diverse, they all have different bodies and stories, but there's always this humility, this willingness to learn and this deep desire to connect more deeply with the practice that resides within. And I think those really unite everyone through the training and they learn from each other's differences and grow stronger as a group.
[00:07:07] And you'll also receive mentorship from me and from my assistants and from the true love yoga teaching community as a whole. You're not doing this alone. You have so many people who have your back through this training. 2026, like our previous years, includes both virtual and in person options, which also makes it really accessible if you lead a busy life or if you don't live in Kansas City.
[00:07:35] This training is still available to you. And we have found so many beautiful ways to keep the group dynamics going, to create community and to help you feel connected and supported, even if you're afar. So if this is calling, you know that enrollment opens tomorrow November. And once you apply and receive your Congrats letter with further steps, you'll have a link to enroll. And if you pay by January 1, 2026, you'll save $500 off the pricing. We also include work trade scholarships and BIPOC scholarships for equity. And there are several different financing options through Teachable. So we try our best to make this as accessible as possible to anyone who wants to earnestly interact with this training and grow. Because the yoga community needs your voice. There are so many different types of people who will and can benefit from Yoga and therefore there needs to be all different types of yoga teachers. So if you feel a little bit different, if you feel like you haven't seen anybody who looks like you that teaches yoga, know that we want to make it even more possible to bring you into that role and to give you the tools that you need. Because it's just part of my personal mission and the mission of the studio to create that accessibility and inclusivity within the yoga community. If you have any further questions about the training, you can go to our website, trueloveyogakc.com and look through our different materials about the training. But you can also set up a time to chat with me and I'll provide a link to that in the show notes. I'm happy to help talk you through the process and listen to you. And um, I'm not here to sell this training to you. I know that it's a great training and I love leading it every year. But hopefully to help provide some guidance and clarity so that you can make a decision that works best for you and for your family and community. Before we close out today, I'll invite you to take a moment to reflect so you might journal or just think about what would it feel like to say yes to yourself 2026 and what part of me is ready to grow, to share and to lead. I invite you to apply to reach out and I want to let you know that you don't have to know how it will all work. You just have to know you're ready to begin and say yes. And also know if you want more information about this besides our website or reaching out to me. I have several past episodes that talk about this training and go into depth about it and I would love for you, if it resonates with you, to join. It is such a beautiful six month container that really provides this strong transformation for our trainees and it has been such an honor to lead it every year. I'm so grateful for this opportunity to lead a yoga school and to help connect people with this lifelong essential practice that continues to blossom and grow within our students. So thank you so much for listening today. Please reach out if you have questions. I would love for you to join us. Om Shanti Own peace. Until next time.
